Surrounding Area Casa SantAnna

Directly next to the house are endless walking and mountain biking trails through the hills of varying lengths.
In the vicinity there are many towns and villages where you can enjoy typical regional food and wines, enjoy the culture of the area and go shopping. You can find a typical Italian market somewhere every day of the week. The nearest one to Casa SantAnna is in Ceva. Each Wednesday morning there is a large weekly market in the centre and the area near to the river Tanaro. On Saturdays there is a smaller, excellent food market in the old centre of Ceva with fresh produce. In Ceva there are plenty of shops for food with four supermarkets and several independent butchers, green grocers and bakers. Ceva has everything you may need from pharmacies to clothing boutiques, banks, as well as bars and restaurants serving regional food. There is also a hospital. 
The train station at Ceva is just a 7 minute drive from the house. Public transport in Italy is very cheap. Cities such as Turin, Genoa, Cuneo, Mondovi (with it’s Mondovicino Outlet), Savona, Bra, Alba and Milan can easily be reached by car and visited as a day trip. For the beach lovers, the Mediterranean Sea is just 45 minutes away by car or train.  Piemonte is well known for its wine and there are plenty of wine shops and farms where you can taste and buy wine.
This year, from october 7 till december 3 there is the famous Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo, the truffel fair. Everything you want to know and taste about the truffel, found here in nature. One of the delicacies that the Piemonte is known for.
From 15 till 18 september you can visit Cheese Bra. The greatest cheese event in the world. Taste not only all the great Italian cheeses, but also cheese from all over the world. 
Then in the weekend of 16 and 17 september you can visit the Mostra del Fungo Ceva, everything about the mushroom, in special the Porcini, found here in the surrounding woods.
